Sylvia Pinner became a Trustee at the AGM in May 2011. As the Trust’s newest Trustee she has already made a significant impact on the organization and has help us map some of our processes using the tools that she uses day to day in her current role as the manager of the Support Services Department at an international software company.

Sylvia’s introduction to the CFT began with a meeting with the Chairman of the Trust to discuss her application to become a Trustee of the organisation. During the meetings that followed she quickly concluded both staff and Trustees are dedicated to improving the lives of children through the work of the Trust. Sylvia is confident that she made the right decision to join this committed team.

With a background in business software, training and implementation Sylvia brings business experience from the private sector and knowledge of IT systems and software. She has a lot of experience in customer service supporting customers worldwide. After years of travelling across Europe and around the world she has more opportunity to enjoy her free time.

Now that she is not travelling for business Sylvia is able to pursue other interests and hobbies like evening classes, walking, gardening and travelling for pleasure. On a weekend, with husband John, she often enjoys walking in the countryside, often 10–15 miles at a time. Fortunately their OS map reading skills are quite good so they don’t get lost too often.
